Telewatts is a web-based energy display that showcases how much renewable energy you are producing. The application uses the data from your renewable install to display a real-time, live feed of your energy data. The information is then displayed as a series of ‘slides’ that are updated instantly when new data is available. Learn more at www.telewatts.com.

My involvement in the project:

- Built extensible front-end display framework in Flash & AS3 using MVC design pattern
- Targeted to render at resolutions over 1080p HD to display fullscreen on monitors or TV
- Facilitated asynchronous real-time data communication between JavaScript & AS3
- Created several reusable slide templates & customizable display components
- Advised on typography, layout, & design considerations with regard to data flexibility & scalability
- Collaborated with illustrator to produce data-driven animated illustrations in Flash
- Coordinated with team members in the UK & Germany over Basecamp & GitHub
- Practiced agile development methods to improve the application over multiple iterations
